Abstract

Education is the most potent weapon to dispel the darkness of ignorance. In this rapidly changing world, we need excellent teaching methods those can bring an overall change in the teaching-learning process, but unfortunately, teaching methods remain almost same, hammering the output of learning. The use of innovative methods in educational institutions has the potential not only to improve education, but also to empower people, strengthen governance and galvanize the effort to achieve the human development goal for the country. We can adopt many strategies which include multimedia-based learning, mind-maps, use of humour, the concept of flipped class-rooms, role-playing and scenario analysis. These methods can replace traditional methods of teaching. These newer methods yield more positive results, putting more thrust on active learning, where students freely and openly interact with one another and participate with more eagerness and enthusiasm. Such methods are the dire necessity of the period to culminate desirable results.
